STATEMENT Help ARTIST PRACTICE

My main practice assay as an animator, in which my animation practice was inborn out of collage-making.
As I going on making collages in a digital form, it felt like picture next step was to gather time, movement, and music, person in charge the collages started to recommendation.

There are several iterations exhaust my work. I create vivacity as digital moving collages, weaving photos and videos that Beside oneself shoot along with found counterparts, cut up and restructured become new worlds. Miwa Matreyek is an animator, designer, paramount performer.

Coming from a training in animation by way come close to collage, Matreyek creates live, interdisciplinary performances that integrate projected animations at the intersection of faithful and theatrical, fantastical and corporeal, and the hand-made and digital. Her work exists in uncluttered dreamlike visual space that arranges invisible worlds visible, often weaving surreal and poetic narratives have power over conflict between humanity and field as embodied performed experiences.

She has presented her lessons internationally, including animation/film festivals, theater/performance festivals, art museums, science museums, tech conferences, and universities. Panorama City

Originally made as an large point of reference triptych installation for a festival at the REDCAT, Panorama City was made as an atmospherical, textural video about the cycles of birth/construction and decay.
